Good morning, Andrada. Happy Thursday, Mavericks!

 

Happy Birthday if it’s your birthday today!  Please give a special birthday shout out to Miss Jordan Bernal if you see her! 

 

The yearbook staff will be taking club pictures during 1st and 2nd periods today. Teachers, please refer to the schedule Ms. Allen sent out yesterday. They will all be taken in the OUTSIDE commons. 

 

Attention Classified and Certified Staff: The United Way Campaign is off to a good start! The campaign will run from Nov 12th – Nov 22nd. No Donation is too small. You can pledge online or by paper form. All participants in the campaign will have their name entered into a drawing for prizes from the district office. Also, if you sign your pledge today before 3:00 you will be eligible for Bagels & Coffee tomorrow! Email Miss Dia a confirmation or drop off your paperwork

Just a reminder that with construction going on on campus, please stay safe and stay far away from the construction zones!

 

The Fellowship of Christian Students are putting together gifts for the homeless and are asking for any donations of hygiene products such as: male and female deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand sanitizer, chapstick, bar soap, as well as female hygiene products. If you would like to donate please bring products to Mrs. Shroder’s room #2225. All donations are greatly appreciated and will be given to the homeless for the holiday season as a gift from our school.

 

The next blood drive will be taking place this month, next  on November 20th! There will be a booth set up at lunch during first block every day on the stage where you can get and turn in permission slips. Only students that are 16 and older are eligible to donate.” 

 

Attention Seniors: Senior Pictures are due to Mrs. Allen by Friday, January 10th 2020. Schedule now to get them done over Thanksgiving or Winter Break so you’ll have them back in time. Pictures must be submitted digitally to aphsyearbook@vailstudents.org. Any questions see Mrs. Allen

 

Remember that, after school, if you are not here for tutoring, clubs, detention, or  SIP, you need to leave campus. If you stay after for an activity you are expected to stay the entire time or make arrangements to be picked up early. All students must be off campus when activity buses leave at 5:15. Students who stay after school without participating in an activity will be required to call home for a ride.

 

Are you cleaning out your closets? Our health office desperately needs new or used clothing donations. We especially need scrubs. Thank you!

 

This is just a reminder that the library is supposed to be a QUIET study hall. If you are making unnecessary noise or not reading or working, you will be asked to leave. 

 

If you are interested in learning how to play tennis or if you already know how to play tennis and want to join the tennis club, We will be starting a tennis club in November. If you are interested, please sign up in the front office. We will have more information for you once we know who is interested. 

 

This is a B week. Please refer to the signs around school, in your classrooms and on the TV screens to see what your FWRB options are during lunch. Remember that AO, Reteach and lunch detention are your priorities. If you don’t have AO or reteach, check out an enrichment!

 

Math Lab is in room 1205 during A week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during 1st block and during B week Monday 2nd block. Also, Math tutoring is held after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:45-5:00 in room 2108.

Frisbee Practice from 3:45 – 5:00 

And Run Club from 3:45 – 5:00
